Greetings from ICMCI once more. This is the seventh issue of the Meridian from this Executive Committee and you will notice that we have not only gone digital, but also have increased the frequency of Meridian to once in two months. If all member institutes participate and send more articles, we can send out the Meridian even more frequently.
This month we begin our Meridian Issue by condoling the passing away of Gerry O’Carroll who had hosted the Dublin Congress in 2007 as Chair of our Irish Member IMCA. Our condolences also extend to Malaysia where we had the news of the passing away of Tan Sri Dr Saleha Ali former President of IMC Malaysia.
Last month we have had the Asia Pacific Hub meeting at Seoul, Korea. As has become a norm, there are record setting levels of participation (70+ delegates from over ten countries) and a highly positive networking atmosphere. The event hosted by Korean Government Certified Consultants Association, was organized impeccably and the warmth and hospitality extended by Mr. Nam Kee Lee (Chairman KGCCA) and his team, gladdened the hearts and minds of people who attended. The post conference tour to the Hynix semiconductor complex at Icheon was a treat for technology lovers.
The next few months are going to be full of activity. We announce our Biennial Congress at Taiwan in October. In this issue you will find links to our website download of the brochure for the event. Time to block the dates and put it in your calendar and plan your travel to Taiwan. We are also sending out the Half Yearly ExCom report which will present to you all the work and achievements of the last six months. We are preparing for the Euro Hub meeting of trustees in Helsinki along with the World Management Consulting Conference, and also the Americas Hub meeting.
The Breakthrough Projects agenda is high on our priority list and we are completing the recruitment of volunteers for this initiative. The next steps will be for each of the task forces on every project, to make progress and redefine the path of ICMCI. You will get more information on the progress in this regard at Taiwan.
This message to each of you, ends on a high note, and with plenty of work to be done before we get “Together Towards Taiwan!”
