On IMCI:
The Institute of Management Consultants of India is the apex body for Consulting Professionals in India. The Institute seeks to enhance standards of the consultancy profession. It is affiliated to the International Council for Management Consulting Institutes. It is the sole body that has in place, an internationally recognized Certifying Process that leads to the award of CMCTM (Certified Management Consultant) standard, which establishes the Credentials of Professional Management Consultants. Once the consultants get certified, it provides them with an opportunity to increase their customer base and provides them with a network to work with the best of the consultants who do not fear such certification exams. In India many consultants are yet to be aware to the opportunity this provides them. Once the certification becomes statutory to practice as in some countries, the opportunities will be manifold.
