Romanian Public Procurement and Consultancy Fees
On Thursday, October 25th 2012, the second Professional Corner meeting took place.
Among the topics discussed during the meeting were the Romanian Public Procurement Procedures and Consultancy Fees.
Special guests of the event were Mr.Catalin Hristea (PM Solutions), Ms. Cristina Macarie (AAM Management Information Consulting), Mr. Mihai Tcaciuc (information officer at the Information Centre for Structural Instruments), Mr. Mircea Fechet (ANRMAP’s Vice-President), Ms. Aurelia Mogosiu (Head of department at ANRMAP) and Simona Turcu (Senior Consultant at BDO Business Advisory).
The moderator for the event was Mr. Sorin Caian, President of AMCOR.
Professional Corner is a platform for communication between management consulting practitioners and offers the opportunity to get in touch, to share experiences and why not, to discuss important issues in the sector with the goal of finding optimal solutions in order to promote a professionalism and ethical climate in the Romanian Consultancy Market. The event was structured as an informal meeting between representatives of member firms of AMCOR, mass-media and representatives of public authorities directly involved in regulation of this area.
Among the main topics debated were: the conflict of interest in public procurement, the lowest price (dumping) practiced as evaluation criteria for management consultants, but also the need of a consultancy assessment guide.
The participants at the Professional Corner meeting were able to share their professional experiences and find answers to their questions from the ANRMAP representatives, and also from their colleagues who passed through similar situations in their activity.
With the occasion of this event, AMCOR launched a study about the "Level of remuneration of specific activities in European Social Fond - AMCOR Poll 2012", this report being a result of the Cooperation Protocol signed between AMCOR and Managing Authorities of POS DRU (Sectorial Operational Programme for Human Resources Development).
Mr. Mihai Tcaciuc, information officer at the Information Centre for Structural Instruments, presented the activities that the centre carries and the main procedures through which they can help people, companies and public institutions in their attempt to access European funds.
At the end of the meeting the role that AMCOR should have in regulation of public procurement in Romania was also discussed by the audience.
Professional Corner is designed to encourage consultants to exchange ideas, to share experiences and to disseminate their acquired know-how with the objective of creating a common voice of the profession.
