The International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (ICMCI) is proud to announce the successful completion of the 1st International ICMCI Conference that took place in Vilnius, Lithuania from 3-4 July 2013 to coincide with Lithuania’s Chairmanship over EU celebrations. We are also proud to announce that the conference will become an annual ICMCI event to be hosted by our network of IMCs worldwide.
This conference was organized by the IMC-Lithuania with a total turnout of 220 participants from 29 countries and 85 organizations.
The ICMCI would like to thank the conference organizing team at the IMC Lithuania, and the project team within the ICMCI for an excellent job. Their efforts resulted in lining up a list of 30 renowned speakers from 20 countries.
The conference commenced with the speakers dinner hosted by one of the main sponsors, ISM Executive School.
On the first day, the conference started with a welcome letter from H. E. Dalia Grybauskaite, President of the Republic of Lithuania (Read by Nerijus Udrenas), followed by welcoming notes from both Francesco D’Aprile Chairman of ICMCI and Edmundas Piesarskas President of AMCL
The conference sessions focused on Global Economic Trends, International Consultancy Business, Development of the Profession and Consulting Technologies, Use of Consultants by International Organizations, and Regional trends of Consultancy which resulted in rich knowledge and experience sharing.
The social part of the conference included a Gala Dinner, a Lithuanian Dinner, The Soviet Bunker Experience and finally the Curonian Spit trip which enhanced individual connections and paved the way for future collaborations from the West to the East.
The 1st ICMCI International Conference was an overall success that not only offered new business opportunities to consultants via new skills and practical knowledge and new contacts, but it also allowed the opportunity for consultants from all over the world to meet in one place to discuss ways to move into the future that is being shaped with all the changes happening worldwide, as one big international consulting family.
The following link will take you to the Vilnius Photo Story much thankfully prepared by Mr. Liew Shin Liat, Trustee of Singapore; the photo story summarizes the success of the conference.
In closing, we at the ICMCI cordially thank you for your participation in the success of this event, hoping to meet next year to create together yet another success story.
