IMC Nominations (with the supporting information) are forwarded to the NSPC (Nominations and Succession Planning Committee) for verification, and then the specialized Fellowship Panel assesses suitability of the candidate as follows.
- Decision one of provisional approval, rejection, or possibly deferment if the candidate is considered to have insufficient experience.
- If candidate provisionally approved, the national IMC is advised in order to contact the nominated candidate to ascertain their potential acceptance pending final approval by ExCom.
- Upon final approval, national IMC advises the successful candidate with a suitable certificate/letter and concurrent press release.
- The appointment term will be for five years with the potential for further renewal.
