Identification of the ICMCI logo
The logo consists of uppercase name of the Council preceded by "The" inside a
circle of triangles. The typeface is
The logo is used to signify the Council and not
the national institute.
Who may use the ICMCI logo
Any national member institute of ICMCI, including provisional members, may use the
ICMCI logo in accordance with the standards outlined below. ICMCI and national institute
officers may also use the logo on ICMCI or national institute business cards, but no
individual or firm may use the ICMCI logo on their personal or firm business cards or
stationery.
Where the ICMCI logo may be used
The ICMCI logo may be used on institute stationery, envelopes, membership and other
certificates, promotional materials, directories, pamphlets and institute business cards.
Within ICMCI, the logo may be included in a configuration of two or three logo lines of
type identifying the Council (the logotype), which together constitute ICMCIs
"corporate signature." In member institutes the ICMCI logo is only used as a
separate element. It should not be used on any materials that have no relevance to the
institutes membership in ICMCI. The ICMCI logo may not be used in jewelry, but may
be used on other gifts that promote the national institute.
Size and Placement
Member institutes should determine the appropriate size and placement of the ICMCI logo
for each usage, publish these standards, and apply them consistently throughout their
organizations. For instance, if it is determined that the ICMCI logo is to appear in the
lower left corner of institute stationery, all provinces or chapters within the institute
should print the logo in the lower left corner of their stationery. The intent is to
establish and maintain visual consistency throughout each institute.
Adjacent visual elements, printed text, corporate logos, photos, etc. may come no
closer vertically or horizontally than the diameter of the ICMCI logo. The ICMCI logo is
not to be combined with any other symbol in proximity. If two logos are to be used
together, for instance the institutes own corporate logo and the ICMCI logo, they
should be separated by a logotype or some other text.
Colours
The designated colour used by ICMCI for logo and corporate signature is PMS 280 (blue)
unless it is used in conjunction with the CMC logo in which case the colour is PMS 282
(Blue-black). However, it is recognized that each ICMCI member institute will have
selected its own corporate colour, and the ICMCI logo may be printed in that colour
instead of blue. Again, the intent is to be consistent in logo colour usage throughout the
national institute.
In many printing situations, black will be the only colour available, and it is
acceptable. In situations where black and another colour are used, unless the second
colour is the designated corporate colour of the national institute, the logo and
logotype must be shown in black.
The logo is not recommended for use in reverse form.
Restrictions on the Use of the Logo
Use of the ICMCI logo is to be made only in the colours and visual relationships set
forth in this standard. Logo elements are not to be redrawn, reproportioned or
repositioned, other than by enlargement or reduction.
The logo is not to be used by firms of certified management consultants or by
individual members who are not officers of their institutes or ICMCI.
Final Authority
ICMCI retains final authority in the use of the ICMCI logo by its member institutes,
and reserves the right to revoke or suspend the right to use the ICMCI logo. Member
institutes are requested to provide ICMCI with copies of their national standards of usage
and samples thereof.
