This is the web site of the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (ICMCI) serving thousands of Certified Management Consultants worldwide and their national professional associations. Feel free to browse our pages with the full assurance that your privacy will not be invaded. We do not provide email addresses or demographic information of our visitors to any source.
This site has five sections, in addition to this page:
About Us provides background of ICMCI, including its mission, history, association membership requirements, a description of the CMC, and some general statistics. You will also see news about Council meetings and learn what else is new about ICMCI and this site.
Member Institutes lists the national institutes of management consulting that have qualified for membership in ICMCI. The membership list will take you to their individual institute pages in this web site. From there you can jump to the institute's own public web site if you have a direct interest in that country.
Committees describes the active task forces and committees of ICMCI and their charter. The participants of each committee are also listed and are linked to their individual participant page in this web site.
ICMCI Participants is a directory of all active participants in ICMCI, including officers, voting representatives, committee members, and national institute chairpersons. Each participant has her or his own page in the web site. From there you can jump to the participants own web site if so posted.
Best Practices includes many working documents and forms for use by members and visitors. They are free unless noted otherwise. Large documents must be downloaded.
Navigation: Most pages have the main index in the left channel for navigating between major sections. Selected navigation links are also at the foot of key pages. You can always get "home" by clicking on the graphic in the upper left corner of any page. You can also get back to section headers by clicking on the section title at the top of most pages. To get back to this page, click on the red "Help" button in the lower right of most pages. To send an email to ICMCI, click on the red contact button in the top header.
Of course, if you leave this site by jumping to a member association's own public web site or to a participant's personal site, you can return to these ICMCI pages by clicking the "back" button on your browser.

If you are a management consultant, you will find the criteria for certification in the Information section helpful. To become certified, go to the institute in the country of your residence, or if there is no member in your country, inquire of the institute that is closest to you geographically or culturally.
If you want to form an institute for certifying management consultants in your country, use the Library section within Best Practices and search for guidelines and application forms. See also the requirements for membership in the Information section.
If you are already a CMC in an institute represented by ICMCI, we suggest you browse the Committee section and volunteer to the chairman of any committee you would enjoy serving.
Also be sure to "register as a consultant" on the international
CMC Directory.
Clients and potential clients of management consultants will find the Code of Ethics and the criteria for certification encouraging. You can also use ICMCI online resources to help you Find a Consultant.
Media and academic researchers and other visitors are invited to browse the About Us and Best Practices section (which includes the Library). If you have an interest in a specific country, contact that member institute directly by going the that national member's page. Otherwise feel free to contact ICMCI. Simply click on the envelope button at the bottom of any page to send your message to ICMCI headquarters.
