ICMCI Resolutions for voting - October 27, 2011
Dear ICMCI Board of Trustees, Chairs/Presidents and Executive Directors,
Following the ICMCI Congress in Taipei in October 2011 ICMCI ExCom is sending the attached documents to all our full members, provisional members and their trustees. This document contains background for the resolutions and recommendations for voting, October 2011, with related recommendations from the London Congress.
All trustees of full members of ICMCI are now requested to formally vote on each of the resolutions in the document as per the instructions contained in the “Covering letter to Taipei Resolution package” within 90 days (January 23, 2011 at the latest). This procedure, voting electronically, is new, and is anticipated to speed up the voting process so as to allow ExCom to begin implementing the resolutions and recommendations.
In case you have any questions, clarifications or objections please contact me or the ICMCI chair, Francesco D’Aprile.
Best regards
Drumm McNaughton, Ph.D., CMC
Secretary ICMCI
Hosting the 2012/2013 ICMCI meeting - October 25, 2011
Dear Institute Officers, Executive Directors, and Trustees,
I am writing to solicit your interest / input for hosting the 2012 and 2013 Hub meetings (Europe, Asia and America), the 2012 Annual Meeting and 2013 Congress, both of which will include the gala presentation dinner for the annual Constantinus Award. The 2012 meeting will coincide with ICMCI’s 25th anniversary, and is expected to be “extra special.”
While ICMCI will organize the content of the meeting agendas, all other arrangements are the responsibility of the hosting member. Every host defines their own approach to the meeting; in most cases, hosts have benefited via publicity, meetings with stakeholders, and encouragement of their members as a result of the ICMCI visit. Please note that the host Institute assumes full financial responsibility for the meeting.
The process for selecting the meeting sites will be as follows:
• Institutes interested in hosting the meeting for 2012 or for 2013, or are flexible in hosting in either of these years shall submit their interest to me by midnight GMT Nov 3, 2011.
• ExCom will make the decision for a short list based on those responses. This decision will be made by November 7, 2011.
• Those institutes making the short list will be requested to submit a formal RFP by midnight GMT, November 30. The RFP will include key questions and evaluation criteria, including ICMCI member benefits and projected costs. The proposal should also include the arrangements for the Constantinus Awards ceremony.
• ExCom will make the final decision for location of 2012 and 2013 at the ExCom meeting on December 11, 2011, and the hosting institute(s) will be notified within 3 days.
I have attached the RFP so that you can get an idea of the details the bid should cover and what we will be looking at for the meeting selection. Additionally, the ICMCI website has some background on planning a meeting, http://www.icmci.org/?page=8816954.
If your Institute is interested in hosting one of these meetings, please send me a short note (with a copy to the Secretariat) by midnight GMT, November 3, 2011 indicating which meeting(s) your Institute is interested in hosting – my address is drumm@icmci.org, and the Secretariat’s email is info@icmci.org. Thanks in advance for your prompt attention to this.
