International Consultants Day
The choice of date has been quite flexible. At the Annual Meeting in Singapore 2008, ExCom recommended that the date should be the first Thursday in June each year: Thursday because this avoids weekly non working days, and early in June because several Northern Hemisphere Members reported that later in the month that it was too close to their annual holidays and professional body activities were poorly supported.
Each Member is encouraged to celebrate the date that is convenient for them. Until a common date has been established, it is better to use a convenient or pre-arranged date nationally rather than have no celebration.
